Using Numerology For Life Path / Destiny

Numerology is defined as the study of the occult significance of numbers.  It is said to reveal strengths, weaknesses, emotional needs, relationships with others, hidden talents, life paths and future events.  You can use numerology to forecast life events such as a house moves, job changes and marriage.

The basic numbers are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.  Additionally, two “master” numbers are used, 11 and 22, which are said to represent a special, higher potential than other numbers.

Each individual number has its own ‘qualities’ although it is the combination of numbers that creates an overall numerology report.

Number 1 symbolises independence and attainment
Number 2 symbolises meaning a part of a group, co-operation, community
Number 3 symbolises artistic expression, optimism and enthusiasm for life
Number 4 symbolises being organised, systematic and structured
Number 5 symbolises opportunities and talents, not to be wasted
Number 6 symbolises love and harmony, being the glue that holds the family together
Number 7 symbolises mental analysis, knowledge and understanding; time spent alone
Number 8 symbolises material satisfaction, handling of money, wanting the best in material possessions
Number 9 symbolises giving to fellow man, humanitarianism, selflessness
Number 11 symbolises existence on a higher spiritual plane, special powers, being a dreamer
Number 22 symbolises enormous power for the benefit of humanity, amazing potential and force to achieve it

Your Life Path is described as being the central focus of a person’s existence and forms a major part of a numerology reading. It is sometimes referred to as a Destiny Number. You calculate your Life Path number using your date of birth as follows:

Add together your month, day and year of birth and reduce to a single digit or master number.

So to get your month number:
January = 1
February = 2
March = 3
April = 4
May = 5
June = 6
July = 7
August = 8
September = 9
October = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1
November = 11 (a master number, so does not reduce)
December = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3

Your day is calculated in the same method, by reducing to a single digit or master number. The same goes for your year – add each digit together and reduce until you have a single digit or master number.

Example: 25th June 1941

June = 6
25th = 2 + 5 = 7
1941 = 1 + 9 + 4 + 1 = 15 = 1 + 5 = 6

So, Life Path number is 6 + 7 + 6 = 19 = 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1.

A full numerology report is complex and takes into account several calculations to make up a set of ‘core’ numbers and sub-elements. It is the relationship between these numbers that determines your full reading or forecast.

Creating your own numerology report isn't as difficult as you might think.  It's based on simple calculations - no psychic ability required! - so there's no reason why it can't be done by everyone!  My advice is just to buy a book or two on the subject and get reading!  My recommended books (the two books I learned from myself) are shown below.
